BodyPsych

Working towards creating  a

safer environment for patients and practitioners.

BodyPsych provides an opportunity to up-skill your confidence,

ask questions about physical and emotional trauma;

and discuss how to hold the space

for patients and you,

safely.

As clinicians we are encouraged to incorporate the ‘biopsychosocial’ or ‘enactivism’ model into our practice, but when it comes to the vital moment of asking questions around trauma e.g., self-harm, sexual abuse, depression, how confident are you to ask and what do you do with the answer?

The Course is designed to help develop your voice/style of asking, it will provide an opportunity to question, reflect and practically explore:

  • Why and how, you should ask difficult questions?

  • What questions could you, should you be asking?

  • How to go about putting into practice asking those questions?

Background, BodyPsych is the brainchild of Psychotherapist Tiago Brando and Osteopath Nicky Ellis, who wanted to help develop practitioners confidence when asking challenging questions around trauma e.g. self-harm, sexual assault.

  • When it actually comes to the moment of asking, how confident are you to ask?

  • What stops you?
